Devil's Cut Ribs
Ribs are a easy go to for dinner. Picking a special sauce that can be changed around several times for different flavors keeps it exciting, and letting the oven or slow cooker do all the work makes it my favorite on a lazy weekend! This recipe included one of my hubby's favorite sips during the weekend "Jim Beam - Devil's Cut". Brown liquor is usually not my thing to drink but I do enjoy cooking with it because of all the rich flavor it gives.
Aluminum platters are a staple in my house. Cleaning baked on sauces, gravies and caramelized sugars off dishes almost makes me want to not cook. But being able to throw a whole meal together in a disposable pan makes me almost giddy inside. One less hassle after dinner.
How to Make It:
2 racks of pork spare ribs divided into sing rib portions
1 18 oz Kraft Original BBQ Sauce
1/4 cup Jim Beam Devil's Cut Bourbon
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
2 tbsp kosher salt
2 tbsp cracked pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne powder (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
In a small bowl mix together garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper
Rub mixture all over ribs. Place ribs in aluminum platters spaced out, cover with foil and bake for 3 hours or until meat begins to peel from the bone slightly and knife tender.
In another bowl mix BBQ sauce and Bourbon (also cayenne powder if you want a little kick)
Remove foil from ribs, pour out excess drippings and place platters on lowest rack and change oven temperature to LOW BROIL
Coat with sauce several times and allow to caramelize on both sides
Remove ribs from platter and plate to serve. Enjoy
