THE MARGARITA
Margaritas should be a staple drink in every good bartenders arsenal. Yet this simple drink is often over sweetened or too sour... Using fresh ingredients and quality liquors, the margarita will soon become your favorite drink.
Everyone knows I love a good margarita! Who am I kidding, I love anything delicious. I started this love affair with the margarita after having it on a vacation to Mexico. There are so many variations of the margarita, but the classic is "The Classic". Many bars or restaurants pull out the sour mix and go to town, but that only yields a medicinal flavored drink. Again I say, use fresh ingredients and quality liquor to make whatever drink you decide to make taste amazing.
Remember the ration 2-2-1-1 for a true margarita, but for mine add another "1" for 1 oz of Simply Made Limeade. It really makes the difference in flavor. Pick out a margarita glass and rim with your choice of salt or sugar, garnish with a thin sliced lime to enjoy.
How to make it:
2 oz Tequila Blanco/White
2 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
1 oz Cointreau
1 oz Lemonade ( I use Simply Made Limeade)
1 tsp of Agave Nectar
Garnish: Salt or Sugar for the rim and a lime wedge or wheel
Instructions:
Rim half a chilled glass with salt or sugar
Mix all ingredients in a shaker add a few ice cubes and SHAKE IT
Pour into chilled and rimmed glass then garnish with wedge or wheel, Enjoy!
