LEMON DROP MARTINI

LEMON DROP MARTINI

LEMON DROP MARTINI

This drink is for my best friend Leslie.  Well balanced and packs a punch!  With just the right amount of acidity and sweetness, this cocktail almost rivals my favorite margarita.

Everyone needs a "Leslie".  She's carefree loving, beautiful and all around amazing soul.  She's that best friend that is hard working, intelligent, and just exemplifies boss behaviors.  She's the one you go to for advice about work, starting a business, financial advice and World Domination!  She's also that friend that you can call at 2 am to save your life, which I've done before, but I digress.  So if my best friend Leslie's favorite drink is a Lemon Drop Martini, then you better believe that I'm going to learn how to make the best one out there.

The learning curve on this drink was tedious.  I sampled several from different bars before attempting the process in my own home bar.  Making it well balanced took a few tries and a few tricks, but finally settling on the idea of adding just a touch of  Simply Made Lemonade did the trick.  Maybe I should subtitle that section my secrete ingredient, well, not so secrete anymore.  Amazing drink recipes are meant to be shared and that's what I'm here for.

This refreshing drink can be enjoyed all year round, which makes it a favorite for dinner parties. Serve it up in a beautifully chilled martini glass add a thin lemon to garnish, then your only dilemma will be to decide whether to rim the entire glass or just half with sugar.  Pour it up with your best friend and ENJOY

How to make it:

1 1/2 oz Vodka

3/4 oz Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

1 tsp Simple Syrup

1/2 oz Grand Marnier Liqueur

1/2 oz of Really Good Lemonade ( I use  All Natural Simply Made Lemonade)

Garnish: Rim half  the glass with sugar and a slice of lemon to float

Instructions:

Chill the glass and garnish with sugar on only one side of the rim and add a slice of lemon.

Pour all ingredients into a shaker add a few ice cubes and SHAKE IT

Strain into chilled glass and Enjoy!
